Pigeon control

Birds, their droppings and nesting materials can cause serious health risks to humans. There have been many documented cases of humans contacting diseases in areas with bird infestations. Histoplasmosis and the West Nile Virus are two such diseases that have recently been documented. Below, you can see the type of damage pigeons can do to the roof of your home.     Pigeons tend to move in flocks of several hundred, which frequently move about, fly, and roost together. Occasionally a smaller group will select a house or a few houses on which to roost or nest. Pigeons inhabit roofs, ledges, drain spouts, lofts, steeples, attics, caves, architectural features of buildings, where openings allow for roosting, loafing, and nesting. We offer many solutions to these problems, such as:

  • Exclusions: Closing off favorable areas where pigeons prefer to nest.

  • Deterrents: Deterring birds from landing, roosting, or loafing on your roof using spikes, wire, coil, electrified wire, and gel.

  • Trapping and Removal

Below is an example of how low profile spikes on top of a roof can keep birds from roosting. Click images to enlarge.
